Wolf
A rroooo! Wolves are said to
howl at the moon. That isn’t
actually true, but wolves do howl
after sunset, because they are most
active in the dark. Wolves live in
packs, and when one wolf starts
howling all the others join in. Wolves
also communicate using body
language. If you’re the boss, you
hold your ears and tail high, but
if you are junior, you crouch low,
flatten your ears, and tuck your
tail between your legs.
In Viking mythology there was a
giant wolf called Fenrir. He was so fierce
that the gods tied him up with a magical
chain so he couldn’t escape.
