1 Ceriana
This pretty mountain-top village lies in
the Valle Armea, 12 km (7 miles) north
of San Remo. Built in the Middle Ages
on the site of a Roman villa, Ceriana’s
old centre is still encircled by perfectly
preserved walls. Walking around the
narrow streets and alleys, visitors can
enjoy unexpected glimpses of the
surrounding countryside.
