García Lorca
Federico García Lorca (1898–
1936) was Spain’s most brilliant
dramatist and lyric poet of
the 1920s and 1930s. His
homosexuality and association
with the Left, however, made
him a target for Nationalist
assas sins. He was shot by an
ad hoc firing squad near his
home town of Granada.
