Polarizing filters are also often used
to deepen the color of the sky by
increasing the contrast with other
colors in an image. The effect works
best when you stand and shoot at
an angle of roughly 90 degrees to
the Sun.

THE RESULT

Using a polarized filter has reduced the glare
reflected from the water and the wet rocks,
and made the water more transparent.
