scores my every move.
When it comes to wellbeing, the Pullman focuses on the
four pillars of Sleep, Sport, Food and Spa; so if trying out
the Fit Trail running track isn’t your thing, perhaps climbing
coconut trees and pumping coconut weights could be the
answer to another pina colada, sipped in a hammock
under swaying palm trees.
Our mother-daughter stay is nothing short of delirious.
We dive with sharks, turtles and rays. We snorkel, fish,
swim in our private horizon pool, sail at sunset, pump
coconuts and enjoy massages surrounded by the
turquoise sea.
Motherhood, Maldives style
Inside our overwater villa we have an incredible view of
the clear water, both surrounding us and beneath us.
Through the glass window in the floor we discover a
resident green octopus who wallows on a rock, changing
colour intermittently, swimming off with all eight
appendages gracefully following, returning each time to
resume his silky rest.
I find Maldivian-style parenting particularly restful.
Admittedly, my credit rating took a savage hit when I fed
my phone to a dolphin, but nothing can drown mother-
daughter memories made in one of the most beautiful, 06
lavish destinations of the world. And to my Instagramming
dolphin friend, be warned: I have a new phone… and
I know your number. 05

Getting there AirAsia offers flights to Male
from Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast and
Perth via Kuala Lumpur. The resort is a short
flight from Male, followed by a 15-minute
speedboat ride from Kooddoo Island.
