               Introduction to English for Hotel




                       Nowadays English is a medium language to link and run the world.


               English is used in all parts around the world, especially in Hotel management.

               Additionally, English has been using in every unit or every task in hotel, namely

               front office, food and beverage, room service, etc.


                       English  for  Hotel  leads  students  gain  more  new  knowledge  and

               opportunities to practice from doing unit exercises and role-play activities,

               the course enhances English 4 skills; listening, speaking, reading, and writing.


               The students can comprehend how to provide and give the best service to

               guests by using an appropriate English.


               Greeting and Welcoming Guests



                       As a hotel staff, your job is not only to greet guests but also to make

               them feel welcome. A friendly smile and a warm greeting make a great


               start. To greeting and welcoming guest are a necessary part for service job,


               it is the heart that all staff must has. Guests can be pleased and get the

               first impression from the attitudes of the staff. There are many expressions


               that can be used when first greeting people. Some are very formal and

               appropriate for greeting guests and some are more informal and should


               only be used with friends or co-workers. Obviously, employees of the hotel


               industry should use the formal expressions.
