Taking a Reservation

Regarding to an evolution, people can access through the internet

or connect to the world easier. Most guests prefer to reserve the room via

online system. When people have internet, they can reserve the room

anywhere and anytime. In addition, some hotels provide special discount

for doing online booking. However, hotel reservation is needed, some

guests prefer to do walk-in reservation by themselves. Thus, hotel reservation

is an important task which the staff should have. Here are standard

processes to ask the guest when the staff have to book a room.

o What’s the date of your arrival?

Ask your guest when they are planning to arrive and check into the

hotel.

o When are you planning to check out?

You’ll also need to ask when they are planning to leave or check out

of the hotel.

o How many people is this reservation

for?

You need to know the size of the group or

number of people to reserve rooms for.

o What type of room would you prefer?
