recognised its importance for future generations. Within its bullion vaults lay Gold reserves of
former nations. Now of little worth since Gold and materials once considered precious; could easily
be replicated in whatever quantity was needed. However; there was some use for this wealth, as
reference samples of molecular and atomic structures. The vaults also contained then rare minerals,
gemstones etc. But of more importance to Sandra and her team were the Archives of historical data,
documentation, and in Lance’s case, the stored objects etc. from the “Abductions”.
“According to this library terminal the section we require is down two floors and in an east wing?”
Lance said puzzled “Just how deep does this structure go?” he asked. Text appeared on the terminal
screen it read “six storeys”; he whistled. The ancient electronics had voice recognition. That would
make searching the archives easier. Sarah and he separated from the main group and headed down
to the requisite area. She had become just as intrigued as Lance with the “Abductions” and wanted
just as much as Lance; to find out which race had perpetrated them. For such a secure place; the
area and location of the desired objects, was little more than a side room. As they sifted through
filing cabinets and drawers; it became apparent that larger finds had been kept in a place known as
“Area 51”. If memory served him right; that location had been destroyed during “The End” events.
So the larger finds would also have been destroyed.

Sandra found the large chest containing the recovered objects. Inside were a number of
smaller boxes of various sizes. When the two of them had opened them all and laid out the items
within; they had before them a bewildering collection of six hundred items. Some were damaged
some appeared to be incomplete. But most were intact. One item marked with a label saying
“Crown 7667” was a variant of a Kryst headband. This one had a
white colour; its crystals and circuitry seem to have been
damaged by power surges.
“That’s a pity. What does the reference note say?” Sandra asked
“From what I’m reading they tried to power the circuits and
managed to blow an entire section of one of their cities power
grids. The “jewels” and crystalline panels lit up like a “Xmas Tree”;
whatever that was, and exploded with enough force to blast out a
lab wall” Lance replied
“I’m not surprised; Polaron circuitry and Direct Current only have polarisation in common. Current
patterns and flows are totally different for Polaron Energy. The current is far greater to begin with.
They were lucky they only blew down a wall. They could have blown up half a city.” Sandra
responded genuinely shocked. There were more of the strange token keys of the Voodon, but with a
different, unknown script, and made of different materials. Many more of the “implants”; some of
these looked like they could still operate if needed. Strange clothing samples etc. A Medallion and
Chain that reminded Lance of an award that used to be handed to Earth Military types. It carried a
legend that related to former sports Event of Earth
“I believe that’s what was once referred to as an Olympic Medal; I’ve seen holographs of surviving
examples. Though this one is very different; the date on it doesn’t make sense. There were no
Olympics in 3150 AD” Lance pointed out as Sandra asked what he thought it was. Sandra found a
complete wand unit that looked like it had been used to cut open some kind of skin tissue. Traces of

the material had stuck to the crystal shaft.
“That’s odd. I’ve seen something like that from the survey done on
Shust” Lance said and picked up a small trophy “The symbols on the
trefoil are not from any known language though. It says this fell out
of the sky over “Nebraska” during a storm; narrowly missing a
Farmhand. He burned his hand from intense cold when he touched
It.” he added reading from the attached sheaf of notes
“Hum! It was recovered from the collection of one of the “Royal”
houses; in the former region known as Mexico in the early century
after the last Economy Wars skirmish. It was sent here to be evaluated by a Hugo Dupree” Sandra
