Jason and Jenna were true to their word. Jason worked closely with Forensics and
Doc Harrigan on the toxin side of things and Jenna took a look at what remained of the
Nano killer left in the Brandy bottle. The Brandy had somehow prevented the device from
completely dissolving itself into basic compounds.

“Interesting construction method and choice of materials; the bulk of it appears to be
metallic mineral salts. The Nano Circuitry is based on a similar crystal structure to the Krall
data crystals only in a liquid crystal form. It’s not that common anywhere in this region or
this Galaxy. The nearest equivalent tech I can think of is used on a Rim World near the edge
of the Osir Domain. I’ve only seen one other example of this circuitry and that was in a
device used to repair nerve tissue. The Osir only used it on occasion relying more on
regenerative techniques that worked at a genetic level, they are far more reliable” Jenna
stated when she’d examined the remains. “Its form is reminiscent of some micro organic life
found in the swamps of Flutvar. So whoever made this is familiar with both territories. I’d
start by looking at which suspects travelled a great deal and could have come into contact
with the locales” she concluded.

Dreck scanned through the database and two names came up. Marco Lydissian, had
grown up on a Rim World, so might have been exposed to the tech, and Morgana Binder-
Glass, step sister to our deceased gangster. Her first marriage had ended with a bang when
the family mansion exploded and the second in a boating accident on Fula Lake. “We know
where Marco is, but Morgana seems to have disappeared without trace, the last anyone has
on her was a credit transfer to an Order account. Perhaps she’s joined the Sisterhood of
Endurance, the female division of the Order” he said jokingly

“Stranger things have happened” Jason said entering so quietly he made them all jump.
“I’ve found a strange component to that toxin, it’s an Herb sap from a plant on that swamp
moon with the regular rainstorms, oh what’s it called?” he was flustered for a moment “Ah;
Lambert’s paradise. Weird sense of humour the Genovans” he continued. Hurden chuckled
and added “My first boyfriend was a Genovan, the first time we had sex I ended up in the
infirmary for a week” Lomax was drinking Klipka and spluttered, Dreck winced and Krank
looked at Jenna. Who just shrugged then whispered something into Hurden’s ear and the
two of them giggled. Jason looked at his sister with a shocked look on his face.

“Oh brother of mine, you didn’t think… Oh you did; I’ve been dating a young Biology
graduate from Genova for ten months now. So I’ve learned how to handle Genovan men”
and she smirked. That sent a ripple of laughter around the room. He looked at her then
burst into laughter himself. With the levity aside they began to piece together what they
had. Jason had been a boost to the team, his wide range of knowledge had helped to give
some sort of order to the events and incidents over a two month period prior to the killing
of Jaden Whelks to the recent two murders, and more of Glass’s “victims” had also been
categorised too. Lomax felt a little self-satisfaction at his choice in deciding to get his
childhood friend involved.
