OBJECTIVES
To encourage the students to comprehend the knowledge acquired from the first Semester to Sixth
Semester of B.E Degree Course through periodic exercise.
METHOD OF EVALUATION
The students will be assessed 100% internally through weekly test and an end semester examination
with objective type questions in Mechanical Engineering domain.
TOTAL: 30 PERIODS
OUTCOMES
Ability to understand and comprehend any given problem related to mechanical engineering field.

ME17714 TECHNICAL SEMINAR/INPLANT TRAINING

OBJECTIVES
To develop the ability to understand and present any technical topic. To train the students in
preparing report and to face reviews.
INPLANT TRAINING:
Student should undergo training for two weeks continuously in an industry with prior approval from
the Head of the Department during their during the summer/Winter vacation before the start of seventh
semester. The student has to submit the certificate received from the industry along with a plant training
report and to present a seminar about the training undergone to the Committee constituted by the Head of the
Department for evaluation.
TECHNICAL SEMINAR:
To enrich the communication skills of the student and presentations of technical topics of interest,
this course is introduced. In this course, a student has to present two recent advances in
engineering/technology that will be evaluated by a Committee constituted by the Head of the Department.
TOTAL: 30 PERIODS
COURSE OUTCOMES:
On Completion of the course students will take on the challenges in the industry, prepare a
presentation in a professional manner, and document all aspects.
