aking A Difference is a fitting description
for the man who as Athletic Director has
been able to build, with the help of his
capable coaching staff, an athletic program
that glorifys God. Mr. Del Wubbena’s
dedication to the spiritual and physical
benefits he believes are inherent in a well-
run sports program is obvious in his tireless
efforts to improve our college’s athletic
program as well as the whole of Christian
intercollegiate sports.
Coach has served on the board of the
National Christian College Athletics
Association (NCCAA) for two years and
been president of Florida Christian College
Conference (FCCC) for eight years. Coach
successfully convinced NCCAA to change
the College’s status from Division I to
Division II in the 1990-91 school year,
enabling the Cougars to compete against
teams which are more closely aligned with
our demographics. As a result, teams have
represented the College at Nationals for
the past two years.
A s busy as he is, Coach always has time for his family. And man’s
best friend. He and his wife Connie have one grown son Troy, a
graduate of Clearwater Christian College, and a daughter Dawn, a
freshman currently attending the College. They are also the proud
grandparents of three little tow-heads belonging to Troy and his wife
Jewel, who also was graduated from Clearwater.
