BACHE McEVERS WHITLOCK, J r.
Entered 1954
Tulane U niversity
Bache (pronounced Bee-Chee), who travels on the “A”
train, can be found every morning glued to the counter at Sam’s,
cynically propounding the relative merits of relative merits.
After schoool he descends to the rifle range for a little target
practice with the stalactites. Far better to put a hand into a
reaping machine at harvest time than to try to stop an enraged
Bache dribbling on the basketball court. On his own time, we
are told. Flintlock Whitlock enjoys hunting in Bucks county
or in certain institutions of learning for young ladies on the
other side of town.
PAUL HAMMOND WOEHLKE
Entered 1955
Vermont
“Tall Paul” is the only man on the football team who never
took off his pads, if he ever had them on. With or without
them, he looks just as tough. The nice part is that Paul has
a good sense of values to accompany his brawn. He has wound
his way through quite a few years at Trinity and has not yet
had a breakdown, despite his morning trek from the Island. He
is acceptable to both the ballet dancers and the Marlboro men
for the simple reason that he does not “brand” them; there
fore, he himself goes unbranded. Regardless of whether he is
a star shotputter, Paul is the class nice guy.
