/(SO3 Trinity waved to its most recent home in Ninety-first Street
and expanded with American imperialism.
Many people might think that Student Government in the School
is a recent innovation. This is not the case. One finds in the April,
1892, issue of Ephemera the following quotation: “A system of
‘police Duty’ or cleaning up has been instituted in the Secunda. Two
unfortunates are appointed each week, whose duty is to keep the
room clear of orange peels, paper, etc.” One can wonder how those
two unfortunates would feel if they had to wash the windows also.
But, on the other hand, there is not much indication that the par
ticipants had any say in who dictated what and when they did their
disagreeable chores.
