Student Council
P RESIDENT CAMBIZ BAHER presented, at the first Student
Council meeting this year, a new constitution drawn up by
Junior representative Bruce Allen. The main change in the proposed
Constitution consisted of the posting of the minutes of each meeting
and of regular class meetings, moves intended to inform the student
body of the Council’s actions. Its ratification and the Greer School
<rTV. Cb D« fund occupied the Council until Christmas.

This year, the Council successfully revived the institution of the
FK6SPHRTSS Winter Prom. With the completion of the new lunchroom, came
traffic supervision by Council members. At the same time, other
G q o ©F@bq representatives supervised the lunch-time study period.
Meeting after mid-year in the typing room instead of the library,
”Q llN N the body’s officers, besides Baher, were Secretary Bill Johnson, who
adorned the Upper School Bulletin Board with bicolor minutes of
meetings, and Pete Vogelson, who held the purse strings and sizeably

increased his inheritance of forty cents from last year’s Council.
President Baher’s main goal this year—bringing the Headmaster,
teachers, and students closer together through the Student Council—
was partially realized. With experience under the new Constitution,
next year’s Student Council should be able to make continued prog
ress toward this ultimate end.
