                                                                    Student Council






                                                P  RESIDENT  CAMBIZ  BAHER  presented,  at  the  first  Student
                                                    Council  meeting  this  year,  a  new  constitution  drawn  up  by
                                                   Junior  representative  Bruce Allen.  The main  change  in the proposed
                                                   Constitution  consisted  of  the  posting of  the minutes of  each  meeting
                                                and  of  regular class meetings,  moves  intended  to  inform  the student
                                                body  of  the  Council’s  actions.  Its  ratification  and  the  Greer  School
                  <rTV.  Cb  D«                 fund  occupied  the  Council  until  Christmas.

                                                  This  year,  the  Council  successfully  revived  the  institution  of  the
                  FK6SPHRTSS                    Winter  Prom.  With  the  completion  of  the  new  lunchroom,  came
                                                traffic  supervision  by  Council  members.  At  the  same  time,  other
                    G q  o ©F@bq                representatives  supervised  the  lunch-time  study  period.
                                                  Meeting  after mid-year  in  the  typing  room  instead  of  the  library,
                  ”Q llN N                      the  body’s  officers,  besides  Baher,  were  Secretary  Bill  Johnson,  who
                                                adorned  the  Upper  School  Bulletin  Board  with  bicolor  minutes  of
                                                meetings,  and  Pete Vogelson, who held  the purse strings and sizeably

                                                increased  his  inheritance  of  forty  cents  from  last  year’s  Council.
                                                  President  Baher’s  main  goal  this  year—bringing  the  Headmaster,
                                                teachers, and students closer together through  the Student Council—
                                                was  partially realized.  With  experience under the  new  Constitution,
                                                next  year’s  Student  Council  should  be  able  to make  continued  prog­
                                                ress  toward  this  ultimate  end.
