Working for the
community
The New Horizons, otherwise known as the Girls
Ensemble, consisted of a little more than a dozen girls
ranging in age from seniors to sophomores. They sang songs
such as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “On Broadway,” and
Kenny Roger’s "What About Me?”. They sang two Lionel
Richie hits; "Stuck On You” and “Truly”.
The groups performed for many groups and organiza
tions in the community. These groups include the Omaha
Area Cafeteria Workers, The Ralston Lions Club, Hill
Haven Rest Home, Saint Joseph Hospital, Ralston Women’s
Club, and the Elks Club. The group also took part, along
with the Swing Choir, in Cabaret Night.
