In this land of freedom, "de
mocracy” is an all powerful, very
meaningful term. Democracy is
varied in its meanings and conno
tations, for each individual has a
different concept of this "feeling.”
Here, at Delhaas, students partici
pate in an oratorical contest by
composing an essay entitled "I
Speak for Democracy”, in which
they present their ideas of Democ
racy. The first place winner from
Delhaas goes onto higher competi
tion with the best wishes from his
fellow students.
