The Freshman Basketball Colonels
                                                                              had a very successful season and show
                                                                              a very  promising future for Colonel
                                                                              basketball. Although they lost a
            1 5-6 Record Shows Determination of Younq Colonels                heartbreaking  loss to Cooper in the
                                                                              Freshman Regionals, they impressed us
                                                                              through the entire season.
                                                                               They started off the year shaky with a
                                                                              loss to Lex Cath,  but quickly rebounded
                                                                              to win their next four in a row before
                                                                              losing to a very talented Louisville St.
                                                                              Xavier.  This early season success
                                                                              foreshadowed the success they would
                                                                              have for the rest of the season as they
                                                                              went on to win their next 9 in a row
                                                                              including an overtime win over Cooper

                                                                              Holmes, Highlands, Mason County and

                                                   b a se lin e
                                                   ju m p e r  o ve r         showed good form going into the
                                                   th e  d e fe n d e r.
