The mighty Colonels of swimming
started the 2 0 0 9 -10 season coming
off a Runner-Up State title. Losing
many seniors from last year's team, it
would be tough to live up to the
previous Varsity team's performance.
However, with the Varsity stars of
this senior class, such as Rob Walsh
and Brian Baxter, the Colonels
prevailed through all their tough
battles. The underclassmen aided the
Colonels all year. Without the help of
Max Williamson and Sam Mullen, the
Colonels would not have been able to
take Region Four.
Consistency was the team's strength
all season. They always followed
their school motto,"With a spirit that
will not die," which took their team a
long way. With another Regional
victory and a 4th place finish at State
for the Covington Catholic Swim
Team, they continue to build upon
their success.
