The Covington Catholic Track team
is arguably one of the most
successful teams in Northern
Kentucky, and this year was no
different. They attended prestigious
invitational meets such as the
Trottwood Madision Relays and the
Coaches Classic in Ohio. Meets such
as these in which Cov Cath pitted
themself against competition far
superior to Northern Kentucky
schools helped prepare the team
for the intensity and talent level
they would be seeing at state.
Whereas some teams would be
intimidated by doing such a
schedule, the team reacted by a top
3 finish in 1 1 of their 14 meets this
year. It also primed them to take
home their 16th consecutive
regional championship, and an
c OlONEir ^ _ 11 impressive 3rd place finish at State.
