Opening Day Opening Day at Holy Child exempli
fies the dedication and fervor that has
becom e so characteristic of the school
community. The excitement rang in the halls of Holy
Child on September 3, 2003. Following a shortened
schedule of classes, the students gathered together to
reminisce about a summer filled with fond memories
of friends and fun. Not even rain could put a damper
on school spirit as students and faculty congregated in
the gym, where the senior class demonstrated their
newfound leadership by guiding the school in the infa
mous game of tug-of-war. Following the games, the
school filed into the cafeteria where Bob served hot
dogs and hamburgers. While the seniors were busy
exerting their new place of leadership in the school,
the junior class was becoming acquainted with their
new freshman “little sisters.” Although Opening Day
marks the end of summer, it is also the beginning of a
new year filled with friends, fun, and the start of m em o
