This  year’s  Holy  Child  Ski Trip,  always  a  much-anticipated  event,  was  a  huge  success.  The  trip,  to  Waterville
    Valley, New Hampshire, consisted of mostly freshmen and a handful of juniors and eighth graders. For those who
    attended,  this weekend getaway proved  to be a highlight of the school year. Three days were filled with adven­
    ture,  from  seven-hour bus  rides  to  skiing or snowboarding down  the  bunny-hill for  the first time.  Many girls
    even went for an extra challenge and participated in lessons for snowboarding or skiing. If girls didn’t feel like
    skiing,  there were many other activities to choose from, including ice skating, snowball fights, shopping, eating,
    cooking  their own food,  and just hanging around with  friends  back at  the  condos.  Some  of the  juniors  even
    encountered  a  boy -  a  strange  experience  for Holy Child girls!  On  the  skiing front,  the  chilly, windy weather
    made  traveling down the mountain difficult at times. The single digit temperatures Saturday  through Monday
    made many of the skiers pile on their layers in attempt to stay warm. Despite the cold, returning students were
    quick to encourage more participation for next year’s trip!
