The JV Field Hockey team’s record was not a reflection of how hard the team worked this season. With a new
coach, many new players, and emerging skills, the girls set a basis for solid team dynamics. Some might have
mistaken these girls as the Cross Country team rather than the field hockey team, because of the amount they ran
at practice. Facing tough competition such as Greenwich Academy and Convent of the Sacred Heart, the squad
held their own with the headship of captains Meredith Roth, Kaitlin Connors and Quinn Davis, as well as the rest
of the team, which included 14 freshmen. Carrying so many freshmen on a team means only great things for the
years to come. These girls are the building blocks of Holy Child Field Hockey. They are the few, the proud and
the elite... look for them in the Olympics!!
