Despite the wet spring and the soggy
courts, Tennis had a rather successful sea
son, led by returning coach Ann Fraser.
Carolyn Mangano and Kristin Twomey,
playing #1 and #2 singles respectively,
made the All-League Tournament. The
spring o f2004 season should be even more
competitve than last year, under the lead
ership of several returning seniors.

G olf2003 had a fantastic season. Coached by Cathy Giandurco,
the team battled close competition and major rain and came
out ver ysuccessful. Their concluding record was not indicative
of their success, since most of the matches they lost came down
to one stroke’s difference. Chrissy Mara and Allison Gray were
particularly dedicated players, returning to lead the 2004 sea
son. HC’s own Tawn Tumesa will coach golf this spring, and the
season should be even better than the last. Golf is an up-and-
coming sort for women, and Holy Child’s team, with its ener
getic returning players, will surely reflect that great potential. /
