in the 4th quarter. The Classical game represented a big Dave Wetzel, Chris Kent, Charlie Henderson, Arthur Grace,

Against P.C.D. the Quakers got off to a terrible start but
managed to pull together in the second half to stage a come
back. However it fell short. In the first away game, the team
lost to a fine Gov. Dummer team. Against St. George s Bill
Wheeler was out with a glandular infection; and the team was
hurt by the lack of rebounding, although Dick Sifferlen did a
good job until he fouled out. Co-captain Chris Kent and Dave
Wetzel were in foul trouble early and had to be taken out.
A sophomore, A1 DeValerio, came in and took over for Wetzel
and Kent in the scoring department.
The Quakers played well against Tabor but succumbed
65-47. Once again they played without Wheeler, but Chris
Kent and Dick Sifferlen took care of the offense and rebound
ing adequately. The 2nd St. George and P.C.D. games were
not good ones for the team; but the Blue & White bounced
back and put on good performances in their last two games.
They gave St. Andrews a big scare before succumbing in the
last few minutes. The last game was a bitter disappointment
to everyone. The team had hoped to close out an otherwise
sad season with a win. It was a close game, but Tabor won
it by 67-63 score.
