As well as being part
of the Christmas pro­
gram, the
Choir sings in local
churches and tour dur­
ing spring break pre­
senting sacred con­
certs in
churches from Florida
to Pennsylvania
for some students at the Col­
lege. For many, Miss Lair’s
performance was the students
first exposure to an opera-style
program. Not only did we have
outside talent come to our campus to entertain
and enhance our cultural experience, but also
EXPOSURE
we heard our fellow classmates in more fa­
miliar productions throughout the year.
Each semester the drama club presents a
play or similar dramatic production under the
direction of Dr. Larry Overstreet. The par­
the old ticipants in the Christmas program included
members of the drama club, as well as the
College Choir and the Chamber Singers, who
are directed by Mr. Billingsley and Dr. White
respectively.
In October we were entertained by Marian
College Lair and her father, Dr. Robert Lair, with an
interesting and varied selection of art songs,
religious pieces, and songs from her Armenian
heritage. Dr. Lair gave a remarkable monolog
