Dennis White hit 26 and Kenny Smith had 12 as the Barons posted an easy
68-41 victory over the visiting Eagles. Then the roof fell on the hosts Satur­
Bitburg 68 N uernberg 41 day. Bitburg was ahead 44-43 with 10 seconds left. The Eagles scored . . . but
the Barons couldn’t. Probably the upset of the season resulted!

The second two-game sweep in two years over the Warrior came in ’79. At
Wiesbaden, Dennis White (19), Kenny Smith (15) and Bob Lovett (10) were
high in the win . . . then in the second game. White burned the hemp with 31
in an easy 57-44 victory. An excellent floor senes by Bubba Owens and
superb rebounding by Tom Lollis and Kenny Smith aided in the wins.
