Heidelberg opened its series against the Barons
by grabbing a 12-0 lead. But Bitburg fought back
with a 24-point third quarter to win the first
game. Then on Saturday, things went a little eas­
ier. Dennis White hemped 21 in the opener and
Lee Bates had 21 Saturday.

Defense was the order of the day in the opener
of the series between the Barons and the Red
Raiders. In points. Dennis While had 21 and
Kenny Smith had 18. A 15-10 fourth quarter
assured the win. Then on Saturday. K-Town
used a big second quarter to do the Barons in.
The clubs matched second-half efforts, getting 21
each. But a 32-29 halftime edge held up for the
w in. White had 19 and Lee Bates 13 in the second
game.
