As the cheers can be heard from the crowd
and the cheerleaders, freshman Jim Tracy tries
to keep his opponent on the mat.
Moves made, if
needed
"One of the purposes of having a
Junior Varsity team is to move the
wrestlers up to the varsity level if
needed/' said J.V. coach Tom Mruz. Many
of the J.V. wrestlers were moved up to
the varsity team due to the numerous
injuries suffered by the varsity wrestlers.
The dual record wasn't as good as
previous years, but that didn't affect the
individual records. "This year the J.V. team
won close to 70 percent of its individual
matches," said Mruz.
"Judging from the performance of
the freshman team, I expect a good,
aggressive team," said Mruz.
