Mounting senior pictures at
Wandel Studio is junior Michele The working class
Baittargeon.
When the bell rings at 3:08
students walk out of their classes
breathing a sigh of relief. For some
students the day wasn't over yet,
they still had to go to work.
Jobs were needed for money, to
go towards a car, clothes and in some
cases, college.
Enjoying one's job is a must for
students to be able to handle school,
job and a social life, junior Cindy
Dueling said, “I work at Gross, Welch,
and Vinardi Law Firm and I enjoy it
because I like doing secretarial work.
The time I'm there goes fast because
it's so fun."
Working can also be a good
influence on people; they can get
new relationships out of it.
“I work at Wandel Studio and I
really like it because the first day I was
there Tom (Wandel) told me 'we're all
one big family' and we have been,"
said junior Michele Baillargeon.
How does working affect school-
work? “I work out at the Westroads
about 25 hours a week and I still
managed to get in National Honor
Society, so I don't think it's affected
my grades, although I do think it could
if a person doesn't work at it," said
junior Denise Grammer.
Some wanted jobs, some needed
them. Whatever the case may be,
they were part of the Ralston
student's life in '83-84.
There's no business like show busi
