As the students walked into the
ordinary cafeteria they noticed that
nothing about this evening would be
ordinary.
There were red and black stream
ers, balloons and hearts. The mu
sic of Toby Badger was heard.
When asked about the band's
performance, Senior Maria
Delgado said, "I think
they're better than any
band I've heard because
they sound like the
songs." All of this led
up to coronation at
10:45 p.m. Seniors
John Chadwell and
Michele Bruening
were crowned
king and
queen. They
led the
traditional
dance
to the
theme song
"Total Eclipse
of the Heart" by
Bonnie Tyler. As the
evening ended, students
went their separate ways to
either take their dates home or to

“I'll remember Homecoming because I think
its the best dance we've ever had, and also
because I was with the guy I like the most,"
said Delgado. So when all was said and
done it hadn't been an ordinary evening.
Homecoming 1983 would be remembered
as being very special. Puttin' on the Ritz, King John
Chadwell crowns Queen Michele
Bruening.
