! Take a look at us now
A heat-filled room, full of people swaying to the sounds
of All Spice ... a taste of the junior-senior prom; the theme,
Together Against the Odds.
The ladies in both short and long dresses complete with
& hoops, gloves and hats and the guys in their tuxes with
» cummerbund colors identical to their girlfriend's dress.
A tunnel of white, light blue, pink and black helium-filled
balloons greeted guests as they entered the Milo Ballroom
at U.N.O. on May 12.
The tables were decorated with crepe paper and silk
H flower-filled baskets. The baskets were each attached to
more helium-filled balloons which dangled in the air. The
room was a collage of music, balloons, picture taking and
dancing.
The high point of the evening, especially for the
candidates, was coronation. When a pathway was finally
made through the crowd, the candidates walked in, two
|r by two, as Gina O'Brien, junior class president, introduced
each couple. Prom chairman, Doug Gibbins and junior class
vice president, Bridget Gabriel lead the procession.
When all of the couples had reached the royal stage,
! princess, prince, king and queen were announced.
"Princess, Anne Barrow; Prince, Scott Kasper; King, Mark
Houlton and Prom Queen, Roberta Kehr."
After the dance, couples went to Central Park Mall,
to parties, driving, bowling and later to breakfast.
