The tastes of the arts were brought out by the special
students involved in creating for themselves and others.
Performing - from the rat-a-tat-tat of the drum, to the
toot of a horn, the marching band marched on through
the football season. Jazz, symphonic and stringed
instruments were also heard, from up-beat tunes to classic
music played for school concerts,
Thespians acted out dreams and created the mood
to fit the prop. With many hours of rehearsal the lights went
up as they made characters come to life from "My Fair
Lady" to “Once Upon A Mattress".
Artists were rewarded for their time creating by
presenting their work in gallery shows.
Swaying and singing to the music, ensemble to swing
choir students performed for the enjoyment of their
audiences. As all performers made a pact to have a
“Prize-Act" year, students used their creativity to its fullest.
Junior Linda LaRosa gets a lift out of being a girl named Fred,
as the rest of the cast cheers her on In "Once Upon A Mattress".
"One-and-twoond-three . . . ” Band director Allan Amandus gets the
band In motion at a football game earlier In the year.
Junior Chris Thackray shows that getting tatooed for "Peter Pan" won't
spoil his appetite as junior Ken Guthrie draws tatooes.
