his year’s cross country teams performed extremely well and both teams made it to state! The bond the
teams had and the endurance they showed, lead them down a path of success. It seemed as though most of the
team kept state in the back of their minds throughout every practice and competition.
Junior Noble Valerio Boster says, “Some of my goals this year were to help the team qualify and get a state
medal. Boster had an impressive season this year and his best time was a little over 16 minutes during a 5K. The
seniors and coaches proved to be huge leaders this season. “There is always a lot of pressure and with being a
senior and a leader, I put a lot of pressure on myself as well which is difficult,” explains senior Libby Valerio-
                  Boster.
Each athlete improved throughout the season and all ran their best towards the end of the season. RHS had
many athletes medal throughout the season. The season ended at state with juniors, Jayden Harrington placing
third and Noble Valerio~Boster placing thirteenth. Success is the biggest word to describe the cross country team
this year. The hallways rang with congratulations from teachers, students, and coaches after their long journey.

                         junior Merlin Padilla at a

before they take on the course.
                         "My favorite memory of the
season was going out to eat at
                         Canes," says Padilla.
