The JV boys had a great season this year as they won far more games than they lost.
The team was led by head their coach, Mr. Wimmer. All of the boys agreed that the York
game was the best of the year. The York game was their first of the season and set the
tone for how the rest of the games would go. “My favorite game was our first because we
played as a team and everyone played a role in getting the dub,” says Sophomore Davion
Long. Coach Wimmer explains, “We improved a lot from last year. For instance we beat
York’s JV this year and we lost to them by a buzzer beater last year; this year we beat
them by 14.”
Players on the JV team played extremely well as a team and seem to be super close.
The team improved as the year progressed and were much better than the last few years.
“I love the confidence the players had this year going into each game thinking they are the
favorites and the other team is the underdog,” says coach Wimmer.
Overall, this season was a successful one for the JV boys and they learned a lot for
future seasons. "I learned that you just have to work through and stay positive," says
sophomore Roy Buettenback.
At the Line. Sophomore Josh Kilzer
focuses in as he is about to shoot a
free throw after being fouled on at the
Mount Michael game. The boys came
out on top 56-46.
"1 look for the things 1
can't coach: effort,
attitude, and body
language." Think Fast! Sophomore Joey McEvoy plays good
offense against a Mount Michael player as he moves
quickly to send the ball to one of his teammates. "The
- Coach Wimmer team improved this year by starting each game thinking
we're going to win, which is a lot different than last
year," explains coach Wimmer.
