ork ethic is what you can control in basketball, and this year's girls basketball
team is all about hustling and hard work. The team plays at an intense level at every
game. Their continuous hard work and dedication has gotten them closer to success.
Junior E’saunjia Stewart exclaims, “I like to get blocks or anything to stop the other
team from scoring. It’s all about being a teammate. I don’t want the other team to have
an easy bucket so my adrenaline kicks in while hustling back on defense.”
Working hard does not come easy, but on the team there are multiple two-to-three
sport athletes. In sports ranging from track, soccer, softball, and volleyball, the team is
putting in hard work year round on and off the court. Sophomore Abby Heig adds,
“Practice is productive because we motivate each other to work harder.” The Lady Rams
are also conditioning to elevate their game. “The worst practice I’ve ever endured was
having to run 2 8/48s,” Junior Rezina Lewa comments.
There are a lot of great things about basketball and being able to give it your all is
one of them. Senior Taylor Garris stated, "The best thing about being on a team would
