"(I have) about seven or eight thousand. For my birthday I would
always get baseball cards and whenever I would get my allowance.
I've collected since I was about seven or eight."

                      How did collect m
                      ing baseball
                      cards become
                      your hobby? "I
                      knew this guy that
                      we used to go out
to eat with every week. He would
always talk to my dad about it,
and I was always interested. I
knew nothing about it; I just
        started collecting. Now I collect
        baseball cards whenever I get
them. (I have) about seven or
        eight thousand. For my birthday
I would always get baseball cards
and whenever I would get my
        allowance. I've collected since I
was about seven or eight. Most of
        them aren't worth anything.
They're worth maybe one or two
cents; a few of them I have are
        worth about twenty or thirty
        bucks." Most expensive card?
"Thirty bucks and then I have ten
of them worth ten bucks. I have
         George Brett, the limited edition
big card. Then I have an ’86 edi
tion trading set. One of those
cards is worth thirty bucks." Do
you have a group you collect reshman Tim Garofolo
with? "No, I collect any and all, F makes a big splash at
whichever ones I get and I don't the SGO Beach Party.
collect cards just for teams, ex
cept the Rangers. I used to have ach play starts with
a friend who did it, but now I just E script reading. Junior
do it by myself." Where do you Anna-Maija Salminen and
get most of your cards? "I buy Sophomore Jody
a few from dealers but most of Critchfield read for "Don't
them from bonus packs. Like at Drink the Water" after
the mall, like sports stores that school.
sell baseball cards. It's like an off
and on thing, like if I watch a
         baseball game, then I'll get
wrapped up in it but when bas
         ketball season comes, I'll be
         wrapped up in that."
