For years students have talked
about getting a statue of the col
lege m ascot, so after thirty-six
years w e now have one. At gradu
ation the class of 2002 presented
Dr. Youstra with the class gift of
the Cougar which now stands in
front of the gym . Though the cou
gar cam e with a marble slab, it
needed an appropriate structure.
Th e m aintenance staff built the
stone base and beautifully land
scaped the area.
