SYLVESTRE JEA N -BA PTISTE, JR .
29 Rue des Fronts-Forts, Port-au-Prince, Haiti
FORM VI: Letter in Soccer, Tennis, Camera Club, U.N. Club, Radio Club,
Rod and Gun Club.
Silver became a member of the Jolly
Moses Brown Boarding Department this past
fall. He quickly gained a position on the
soccer team and often stood out because of
his tricky playing. In the last game of the
season he was the only boy all season who
scored a goal by hitting the ball in with his
shoulder. Silver’s smile has won him many
friends at school; as a matter of fact, he
even managed to utter choice phrases in his
native tongue, with a smile on his face,
when he missed an easy shot in soccer. Syl
vester's friendliness will make him a good
politician. Maybe someday, classmates of his
will be able to go down to Haiti to meet
their friend, the President.

FORM VI: Cross Country, Basketball, Tennis, Flying Club, House Council.
Jeff Kalberer, the hardest working and
most embarrassed member of the cross coun
try team, has become a fairly serious student,
but at the same time has kept up sufficient
outside activities. Jeff will always remem
ber his love for the boarding department, his
sophomore year, and his famous closet. From
Haughton to Odell, Jeff has had quite in
teresting corridor experiences. Although he’s
usually serious, Jeff is always ready with a
laugh and is always enjoyable company.
As Jeff leaves the Moses Brown boarding
department, where he has been an integral
part, to move on to a new campus, we wish
him great success and may he always re
member those days on Upper West.
