question."
A Thespian is a disciple of the
Greek playwright, Thespus, or at
RHS, a student of the dramatic arts
that achieves a high enough point
level to become an honorary, life­
time member of the International
Thespian Society.
Thespians invaded RHS. The
47 Thespians were everywhere, in
pom squad, in gym class, even in
weight-lifting class. They have a
14-point program to recruit as
many initiates as time allows. Jake
Bellows was a definite advocate of

this physiognomy, “Students are

looking for an escape to every day
boredom.” But where to go for
this escape? One word. Thespi-
ans. ii
Thespians are intimately in­
volved with the surrounding realm
of dramatic arts. Quite frequently
you will see a convocation of Thes­
pians at most metro area plays.
Plays such as "Peter Pan", "Les
Miz", and "Phantom of the Opera",
just to name a few.
When a Thespian takes part in
a play, he/she transforms into the
character that they are portraying.
There is also no limit to the char­
acters that can be played. “It’s
something new,” said Bellows, in
advice to all students at RHS, “So
why not give it a try?”
“I’d encourage everyone to
become a Thespian,” said Bellows,”
it gives you a different perspective,
and allows your mind to open and
view life as you never have before.”
