             The Cross Country team this year was very surprising.  Even though they were few in
         numbers, the seasons success brought them closer as a family.  From team-dinners at Mar

         Weland's  house to the 2-hour bus  rides home, the team  kept a postive a ttitu d e  toward w^
         was coming next.  Setting and meeting  personal goals, everyone ran th e ir  best.
              The team also accepted the freshman  into the family without hesitation.  Each one
         formed extrem ely well fo r fir s t year runners.  They advanced exponentially in the season,
         coming close to making  it to the state meet.
             Taylor  Brockhaus (junior), made it to state fo r the second consecutive year, with a tir
         of  17:02.3, placing  10th out of  15 at districts.  A t state, she ran  her personal  best of  16:4:
             As the season came to a close, the team  remembered all  of the memories they had witf

         the seniors,  but they knew th a t even though they were  losing four outstanding athletes,
         Ralston  High  School  Cross Country  2011  will always  be thought of as a great year.
