Homecoming Week was short and spirited. Everyone was
excited, despite not having a bonfire, car bashing or a car parade.
Monday was spirit day. People dressed in the school colors to
show their spirit and pride for Ralston. Some girls dressed up
like cheerleaders to show off their high school spirit.
Tuesday was hat day and Mr. RHS. People wore hats of all
kinds, ball caps to jester's hats. The day ended with Mr. RHS to
see who would win the title.
Wednesday was 70's Day. Many people dressed in the clothes
their parents wore when they were in high school. Erin
Konwinski, a sophomore, described this as her favorite day
because "you can dress all groovy!"
Thursday was Hawaiian day. Truck loads of sand were
hauled into the concession stand area at the football field for the
beach party.
Friday concluded Homecoming week with backwards day.
The day's class schedule ran eighth hour to first hour, with no
advisement. The week before a fund raiser of gathering pennies
to match Dr. Meyers' weight was held. The student body col
lected enough pennies to equal three times his weight. As a
result, a half day off school was granted. The homecoming pep
rally wrapped up the week's events and announced the royalty.
