N ot only do the cheerleaders of
RHS participate in supporting the
athletes of our school, but they also
planned the entire w eek of H om e
com ing activities by keeping the
student body full of spirit w ith pep
rallies and such. T he varsity
cheerleading squad started off with
an exciting season by w inning first
place at the M etro State Spirit
Spectacular that w as held in
N ovem ber. T he squad also received
the highest academ ic aw ard at the
com petition for having a com bined
grade point average above 3.50.

w ere nom inated for all-star
consideration. The squad also
com peted in the R iver Cities
C onference cheer and pom cham pi
onships held in January. The squad
took first place in the ground bound
division and the stunting division.

w ere nam ed to the all-conference
cheer squad. Senior K atie Phillips
states, "T h e highlight of the season
w as everything we w on. From
cam p to RCC, w e w ere unstoppable
this year; and it w as a great feeling
to w in." The four seniors that led
the squad w ere Katie Phillips, Suzy
M cW illiam s, Kim H unt and Angela
Coon.
