The 1979-80 Girls’ Tennis Tea m was a
very young and inexperienced team this year,
so their year has to be considered to be a
rebuilding time for them. The team’s seniors
were Myra Yetter, Vicky Armstrong, Karen
Flynn, Tori McChesney, Shiryll Bartz, and
Cindy Gourley. The girls’ individual scores,
incidentally, were better. than the overall
record of the team for the year.
The highlight of the season was the
tremendous 5-2 victory over Lansdale
Catholic. Next year may prove to be a much
better year for the tennis team, since some of
the current rebuilding efforts are going to
begin to pay off when the team goes into
competition again.
