Clubs, organi groups form for var
ious reasons. Some come together through directorial orga
nization such as the Political Club. Mr. Brian Johnson, leader
of the club, provides students with information on political
events, upcoming elections, and ways in which students can
be involved. Amanda Russell went with the club to Sebnng,
FL, to hold signs for early voting in October. "It was a fun
experience, and it was also a good way for us to get to know
each other better," said Amanda. "Hopefully we will have
more activities like that." Sophomore Class O fficers

formed Community Service Council which is a branch of
the Greeks and under the direction of Mr. Matt Murphree.
"We wanted to create a service aspect with opportunities to
serve not only the college community, but also the Clearwater
community," said Mr. Murphree. A few of the community 7
service projects that have already been conducted by the or
ganization are an Aid Station for the Iron-Man Competition,
help at children’s homes, gathering food for the troops, and
delivering donuts and treats to the local fire department.
Although some groups began under directorial guid
ance, others are begun by students. April Lewis started a
prayer group for girls every Monday night. Gracelyn Blake-
