Warm-ups
nuggled up next to fireplaces,
S pulling electric blankets out,
and turning thermostats up, were
only some of the ways students
stayed warm during the cold
winter months.
Despite the weather, many
anticipated the thought of the
season coming nearer, and the
cold wouldn't hold them back. It
was a time for fun and excitement,
and one could feel a quick shot of
energy crawl up one's spine.
Students were seen sledding, ice
skating, skiing, and some were
even caught spinning brodies in
the parking lot. Other activities
included snowball fights, ice
hockey and intramural basketball
for those who didn't care for the
cold weather.
"Every year there have been
from 40 to 85 boys interested in
this basketball program. Students
grades nine through twelve are
eligible to participate, but only if
they do not play basketball on anyt
official school team," said coach
Denton Hoy.
With a choice to stay either
inside or outside, winter was still a
fun time for most.
