           C improvement were the words
used by the j.v., reserve, and freshmen
football coaches to describe the football
         season.
J.V. coaches Mike Barada and Gary
          Waldron agreed the team showed
improvement in each game during the
          season, while gaining experience and
maturity. The team ended the season
          with a 3 - 4 record.
            Outstanding offensive players were
junior Mike Lyman, leading rusher, and
          Ken Schaefer, noted for leadership.

          Hultberg were chosen as the

Highlights of the season were the
          offensive line, which averaged more
than 250 yards per game, and the
defense, which held three opponents to
          a touchdown or less.
            The reserve football team, coached
by Duane Ross and Dan Meyer, ended
the season with a 3-3-1 record.

          offense was sophomore Jim Palensky
           with sophomore Tom Madsen
           averaging the most pass receptions.
“The goals we as coaches and
players set were not always met in
reference to a win-loss record, but the
           season represented a very rewarding
           experience,” said Ross.
             The freshmen team, coached by
Larry Hill and Dan Mussman, ended

Dailey and Tracey Morey were the

“After being out of the game for 15
years, I found that there were many
aspects of the game which had
changed. It was definitely a learning
           experience for myself and Coach
Mussman,” said Coach Hill. “1 did
enjoy the opportunity to work with the
           boys on the team.”
