Abstract

This article shall study only the municipal water treatment and water supplies using
Internet of Things (IoT) Technologies applied to manage the threats occurring to raw water

characteristics that affect water treatment. The case study is Metropolitan Waterworks

Authority (MWA) at Bangkhen water plant. This plant has applied to use of IoT to solve
problems of various threats that affected raw water characteristics and quality. The result of

IoT application can achieve problem-solving with efficiency and can distribute qualified water
that complied with treated water standards. Hence, IoT technologies applied to this case study

can be duplicated to be as a guild line to develop for management to other concerned water

treatment organizations and for the purpose of compliance to the water supplies and drinking
water management which is one way for the sustainable water resources management to drive

operations in accordance with the 20-year Water Resources Management Master Plan of the

National Water Resources.
