THE SUN AND THE SAND MAKE BEACHES BEAUTIFUL
Every cloud has a silver lining. Just like the sun and the sand make beaches beautiful, we humans can
achieve any milestone by working hard and being determined. We should bury all our worries in the sand
of the beach, let them be washed away by ocean water and experience the sun’s warmth and positivity.
Sometimes, things do not work out as we plan or wish. There are times when things do not work our way and then
comes an innate fear that things might get out of our hands. But it is necessary to withstand these impediments and
constantly focus on our goals. Thus, it has been rightly said that ‘Life is not a bed of roses.’ Therefore, the dark days
must be dealt with dexterity in order to bring the light of happiness and prosperity in our lives. Hard work shall always
pave the way to success. Henceforth, the only way forward is to analyse and reflect upon our shortcomings in order to
become successful in our lives. No matter how hard the tide hits us, the sand will always soften our landing. Similarly, no
matter how hard life hits us and tests us, we should always stand strong and be ready to face whatever comes our way.
Another way to make things work is to love whatever we do and be fully devoted to it. Some things work our way while
others do not, therefore we must relentlessly pursue our goals and strive hard to achieve them. We should never
be affected by the obstacles that destiny throws upon us as even the deepest footprints cannot survive the ocean
water. Therefore, we perpetually wear a lens that adjusts reality to appear more constructive and optimistic. So,
If you want your future to be bright,
Strive hard to make the present right
In order to experience the ecstasy of life,
For every act counts in strife.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
The seventeen Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 to end poverty, reduce
inequality and build more peaceful, prosperous societies by 2030. Their main objective is to empower nations globally.
Children are considered the future builders of a nation, so educating them about SDGs is extremely important. Only then one can think
of achieving these goals. Practising sustainability empowers children to construct knowledge, explore values and develop respect
towards nature, which lays the foundation for an environmentally responsible adulthood in future. With this, students act sustainably
in their daily lives to foster environmental consciousness and lifelong learning in their classroom by practising these major principles
as: Connect and develop respect towards Nature. Analyse the Climatic changes. Initiate a service project with peers. Learn about all
sectors of people who make a difference in society. Research on various businesses and its products, with their effects of Carbon
footprint and green gas emissions. Start an Environmental Awareness Challenge. Create a model of mindfulness to visit grandparents,
animal rescue centres, old age homes etc. Promote and create posters or presentations to inspire others. Encourage out-of-the-Box-
thinking and spread to local communities. Meet and collaborate with NGOs and govt schools for better outputs.
The SDGs key benefits of learnings and experiences reflect on students’ life to improve quality of life. Let the young lives protect,
preserve and conserve the natural environment for their future needs.
