Greetings, my Lovely Lambda Omega Sorors!

March is Women’s History Month, and I am proud to celebrate the many contributions that
you have made to our sisterhood and surrounding communities. As I researched this month
of recognition, I came across the theme for 2022. Due to the unprecedented events of the
previous two years, the theme is “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope”. “It is a tribute to
the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also
a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing
and hope throughout history.”

As we prepared for the submission of Lambda Omega’s Regional Stars for the 69th Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference,
the nomination process reiterated all the amazing women that call Lambda Omega home. Some of the first submissions
included the 3rd Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, Soror Leah K. Frazier, the 14th Mid-Atlantic Regional Director,
Pearl Soror Clara Hines, Diamond Soror Margaret Johnson, Diamond Soror Katherine G. Johnson, Soror Jessie M.
Rattley, Soror Marcia Price, Soror Tonya Denise Byrd, Soror Angela Spranger, and Soror Edith White. The list could
have been longer, but we could only submit the names of three sorors. We should continue to celebrate the selfless
sacrifices that paved the way to Black excellence.

The 69th Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022, through Sunday, March 27,
2022. Over 3500 Sorors will be in attendance, including over 95 Lambda Omega Sorors. During this Conference, the
historical marker unveiling of our world-renown “Hidden Figures”, Diamond Soror Katherine G. Johnson will take
place. We will also celebrate our newly crowned Jewels.
