Real X Gear – You Really Got Me realxgear.com
As we wrap up the summer golf season, we thought it apropos to review
some of the great new products for hot weather so that you can fully
prepare for next year. You can choose from plenty of cooling garments
and accessories out on the market, but we found Real X Gear to have the
most complete lineup. Real X Gear uses the latest cooling technology on
their shirts and hats as well as some interesting products we think golfers
will love. The cooling collars and towels provided instant relief on some of
the hottest days we encountered on the golf course. Simply wet with cool
water for the fastest refresher. But we were blown away by the Fogger, a portable cooling devise that fits in
the drink holder of any golf cart. The Fogger produces a fine mist that provided almost instant cooling. We
immediately decided that it become a necessity for the pool and beach in our household. Want to knock off
20 degrees during those outdoor activities? Then get Real X Gear. (Ciattei)
Dr. Cool – Wear the Coolest drcoolrecovery.com
You had me from hello, my name is Dr. Cool! You will want to keep this
product line on your fashion radar. This golf season, we were delighted
when we tried the new line of cooling clothing from Dr. Cool. The product
with the groovy name works, and it works well. Using their patented
innovative cool core technology, we found that the Dr. Cool men’s and
women’s polos not only made us comfortable in the hot sun, but we also
stayed dry. Add to that some very nicely placed mesh paneling and we felt
right in fashion. Dr. Cool boasts chemical-free material, which is always
good. The active caps and Chillbands provide UVA protection as well as
the shirts. Dr. Cool’s brand new line debuted with a variety of colors and sizes this summer, and it wouldn’t
surprize us a bit if the cleverly tagged brand made a big splash at next year’s PGA Merchandise Show in
Orlando! How cool would that be? (Ciattei)
Sundicators UV Wristbands – Skin-surance sundicators.com &
prettypale.org
Every golfer should look at this product The Golf Guide reviewed for no
other reason than to become more knowledgeable about the dangers of
skin cancer and melanoma. Sundicators UV Wristbands help you keep
an eye on the sun by monitoring the Ultra-Violet rays to which you are
exposed. Wearing a hat just does not provide good enough protection on the course from what is by far the
most common type of cancer in the United States. Sundicators take the guesswork out of determining how
much sun is too much sun. They automatically change color to let you know that it’s either time to reapply
sunscreen or time to get out of the sun. We tried these out on our beach trip and this wonderful addition to
any outdoor activity came in handy. Interestingly enough, Sundicators were created by skin cancer survivor
Kerry Lynn Spindler. All proceeds benefit her non-profit cancer awareness organization, Pretty Pale Inc.

Sigvaris Performance Socks – Feet First sigvarisusa.com
Take it from someone who has always had a problem with their lower
extremities. The advancement in athletic socks have been a savior for
this part-time jock. I was excited to try one of the leading brand of
performance socks made by Sigvaris on my somewhat lethargic legs.
Sigvaris uses the latest high tech fabrics for a cool, dry fit. The quality
of the details built into this sock makes them different. The Achilles tendon protector really assisted my
normally sore ankles. The soft cushioning around the heel and toe helps to prevent against those nasty
sports blisters that always seem to pop up. Most of all I noticed the compression around the Sigvaris
Performance Sock. You can feel them reach their goal of improved blood circulation and increased oxygen
delivery as it happens. I was so surprised to see a neighbor sporting the socks when I was out on my daily
morning walk. The four new, fun shades made them hard to miss! (Ciattei)
